Former Majilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek has confirmed that he was involved in a traffic accident in the Zhambyl region, after which a pedestrian was hospitalized. However, he and his wife have signed a non-disclosure agreement regarding the pre-trial investigation, so they cannot disclose the circumstances of the incident. Bazarbek wrote on Facebook that he cannot respond to numerous speculations and rumors related to the accident involving him.

"I cannot answer the numerous speculations and misinterpretations related to the accident involving me, and I cannot write much. Within the framework of the initiated pre-trial investigation, my wife and I signed a non-disclosure agreement regarding the pre-trial investigation," he said.

According to Bazarbek, his main priority now is to support the victim and his loved ones.

"We have not slept for several days and, together with his relatives, are praying for his recovery," he wrote.

The ex-deputy also thanked the doctors of the district hospital, the Ministry of Health, and the Health Department of the Zhambyl region for emergency assistance to the victim.
