A horrific accident occurred on the Aktobe-Astrakhan highway in the West Kazakhstan region. As a result of a mass road accident, two people died and eight others were injured. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to KTK, a DAF truck and two Toyota Camry cars collided. After the impact, one of the cars caught fire.

Judging by eyewitness footage published on social media, the car was almost completely burned out, and its debris was scattered over tens of meters. The truck drove off the roadway into a ditch after the collision.

According to the police, initially information was received about ten victims. However, two participants in the accident died before the ambulance arrived. The remaining victims were urgently hospitalized.

According to Aibek Orashev, deputy head of the administrative police department of the Aktobe region police department, according to preliminary data, a collision of three vehicles occurred — a DAF truck and two Toyota Camry cars.

"As a result of the accident, one Toyota car caught fire. A pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the road accident," Aibek Orashev said.

The circumstances and causes of the accident are being established. Police officers and emergency services worked at the scene.

Earlier, Kursiv reported about a fatal accident in Almaty that killed three people. The accident occurred on the night of March 21 at the intersection of Al-Farabi Avenue and Mendykulov Street.

According to the investigation, a Zeekr car drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes. The Zeekr was driven by 32-year-old businessman Alexander Pak. After the accident, he was taken to the hospital and then taken into custody. In court, the relatives of the deceased announced reconciliation.
