The Kondensat oil refinery in Western Kazakhstan will process Russian oil. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov said at a government briefing that the ministry had received a corresponding request from the Russian Ministry of Energy. He stated that he sees no obstacles, as 30% of the produced gasoline and diesel fuel will remain in Kazakhstan, while the rest will be sent to the Russian Federation.
The plant is located at the Karachaganak field and has a capacity of 850,000 tonnes.
