Two police officers died in a road accident on a highway in West Kazakhstan region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The regional police department confirmed the information. On July 3, while performing official duties, two officers of the Taskala district police department died in a road accident. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the accident. Necessary investigative and operational search measures are being carried out to establish all circumstances of the incident, the department reported.
Earlier, on July 2, a police officer died in a road accident in Turkistan. According to preliminary data, a patrol police crew was sent to stop a driver of a passenger car who grossly violated traffic rules and posed a threat to other road users. While performing official duties at the intersection of Satarkhanov Avenue and Taraz Street, a patrol Chevrolet Cobalt car was involved in an accident. As a result, police captain Bauyrzhan Konysbekov died at the scene from his injuries, the regional police department reported. A pre-trial investigation has also been launched into this incident.
