A tragedy occurred on the Saryozen River near the village of Zhanakazan in the Zhanakala district of the West Kazakhstan Region. Three teenagers who graduated from school this year became victims of the accident. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Department of Emergency Situations of West Kazakhstan, on the evening of June 9, police received information that two teenagers born in 2009 and one young man born in 2008 drowned while swimming in an unapproved location.

According to rescuers, a warning sign prohibiting swimming was installed at the site where the tragedy occurred.

"The forces and means of the Department of Emergency Situations of the West Kazakhstan Region were promptly dispatched to the scene. However, before the arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, the bodies of the deceased were recovered from the water by local residents. Currently, the circumstances and causes of the incident are being established," the department reported.

It is known that all three deceased were graduates of this year's schools. Presumably, after completing their exams, the teenagers went to the river to relax.

The Department of Emergency Situations reminded of the need to follow water safety rules.

"The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that swimming in unapproved and unsuitable places poses a serious threat to life and health. For recreation on the water, it is necessary to choose only officially permitted places. It is important to strictly observe safety measures and not leave children unattended," the rescuers emphasized.

This incident has drawn public attention to water safety issues in the region. Every year during the summer season, tragic incidents during swimming are recorded. Experts urge parents to monitor their children's safety on the water and teach them safety rules.

Rescue services have strengthened control over water bodies and are conducting explanatory work among the population. However, according to experts, the main thing is the responsibility and caution of the citizens themselves. It is necessary to choose only specially equipped beaches for swimming, consider the depth and current of the water, avoid alcohol, and not leave children unattended.

Currently, law enforcement agencies are conducting an investigation to establish all the circumstances of the tragedy. A forensic medical examination has been ordered. The exact causes of death will be determined.

This incident has caused a great resonance among the residents of the region. On social media, people express condolences to the families of the deceased and call for compliance with water safety rules.

Specialists of the Department of Emergency Situations once again remind of water safety rules: do not swim in unfamiliar places, do not leave children unattended, do not consume alcohol before swimming, consider the temperature and current of the water. Following safety rules will help preserve your life and health.
