Two police officers died in a road accident while on duty in the West Kazakhstan Region, the regional police department reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The accident occurred on Friday, July 3. The victims were officers of the Taskala District Police Department — Police Major Abzal Umbetkaliyev and Police Senior Sergeant Nurgali Adietov.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the accident. Necessary investigative and operational-search measures are currently underway to establish all circumstances of the incident.

The police department and all personnel of the internal affairs bodies expressed condolences to the families and friends of the deceased officers.
Minister of Internal Affairs Yerzhan Sadenov also expressed condolences to the families of the deceased police officers.
"I express my condolences to the families and friends of Police Major Abzal Umbetkaliyev and Police Senior Sergeant Nurgali Adietov, officers of the Taskala District Police Department of the West Kazakhstan Region Police Department, who died in the line of duty," he wrote on Instagram.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the department will provide comprehensive support to the families of the deceased.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that on July 2, in Turkistan, a senior inspector of the patrol police battalion of the city police department, Police Captain Bauyrzhan Konysbekov, died in a road accident involving two patrol cars. According to police, the crew responded to a call about a driver who grossly violated traffic rules and posed a threat to other road users; a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the accident.
