A firefighter died while extinguishing a dry grass fire in the Zhanibek district of the West Kazakhstan region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the regional emergency situations department, the incident occurred in the area of the "Tatran" winter pasture. Dry grass caught fire there.
During the work to extinguish the fire, an employee of the emergency situations department was injured. He was taken to the district hospital in the village of Zhanibek. However, despite the medical assistance provided, he died from his injuries.
