Grand Mufti Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly commented on domestic violence against women. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

"Sometimes when you hear about some events in society, your heart aches. Especially painful is when a woman is subjected to abuse and humiliation within the family. Someone's daughter raised with love, someone's dear mother, someone's beloved wife. She comes to a new home seeking protection and warmth. Therefore, a man's duty is to give her care, not fear," the Grand Mufti wrote on social media.

Nauryzbai Kazhy reminded that a man's strength is not in his fist; true strength lies in not giving in to anger and maintaining patience.

"Anger subsides. But a hand raised in anger and harsh words can leave a mark on a person's heart for a long time. Sometimes the regret of that momentary anger lasts a lifetime. The family should be a place where a person feels safest. A woman should live in her home with honor, not fear," wrote Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly.

He noted that every father and mother who raised a daughter with love and sent her off to a new home with great hopes has only one wish: "May she be happy where she goes."

"Let us not betray that trust. Being a protector to a woman is a man's duty," said the Grand Mufti.
