Information that ordinary Kazakhstani doctors will have to undergo a new certification does not correspond to reality. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

As clarified to Kursiv by the Ministry of Health, the updated rules are designed to check only the management staff.

"The proposed changes apply exclusively to the heads of medical organizations (hospitals and polyclinics), as well as the heads of health departments. These changes do not apply to ordinary medical workers," the ministry explained.

The department noted that the assessment will be aimed at determining their professional and managerial competencies, the effectiveness of organizing medical care and the use of resources.

"The assessment results will allow identifying problematic issues in the management of medical organizations and determining measures to improve the quality and accessibility of medical care," the Ministry of Health emphasized.

Earlier, media reported that the Ministry of Health had put forward a draft of changes to the rules for certifying medical workers for discussion. In the comments to this news, medics left many angry comments, the essence of which boiled down to the fact that they are not at all happy about the new inspection.

In turn, Kursiv previously reported that the certification would affect only the management staff of medical organizations in the republic.
