Hockey club Barys lost 0:1 to local Amur in Khabarovsk in the final game of their nine-match road series. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

This is the third defeat of our hockey players against the Khabarovsk team in KHL 2026/27. Two of them came during an unprecedented away series. Due to the preparation and holding of the World Wrestling Championship at Barys Arena, the hockey players were forced to play exclusively on the road for more than three weeks. The result is as predictable as it is disappointing. Three wins and six losses.

The first goal of today's game in Khabarovsk came at the end of the second period. The hosts used a numerical advantage. The visitors' goaltender Hunter Shepard stopped Vitaly Abramov's close-range shot, but Oleg Li was first to the rebound – 1:0.

🏒 AMUR (Khabarovsk, Russia) – BARYS (Astana, Kazakhstan) 2:0 (0:0, 1:0, 1:0)

Goals: Li (Abramov, Likhachev) 37:05-PP (1:0), Urakov (Petkov) 59:51-EN (2:0)

The Astana team's final push failed. Instead, the Khabarovsk team scored into the empty net in a 5-on-6 format – 2:0. Barys returns home with a loss. And in fifth place in the standings. Two points away from dropping out of the playoff zone.

The KHL regular season, which started on September 5, will last until March 20, 2027. Each of the 22 teams will play 68 games. Based on the regular season results, 8 teams from each conference receive the right to participate in the playoffs.

In upcoming matches, Mikhail Kravets' charges will meet at Barys Arena the teams they have only lost to in the current regular season.
