The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported that in the Karaganda region, near the beach of the city of Priozersk on Lake Balkhash, rescuers came to the aid of two children. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

It turned out that during a ride on a paddleboard, a strong wind carried the children about 250 meters from the shore.

Rescuers responded promptly and brought them back to shore. They did not need medical assistance.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds:

  • 02Use life jackets when riding boats, catamarans, and SUP boards;
  • 03Monitor weather conditions and wind strength.
