Earlier, a video of a Mercedes-Benz driving along the lake shore circulated on social media. At that time, children were swimming in the water.
Police determined that the incident occurred in the Zhambyl district of the Almaty region.
The 40-year-old driver, who posed a threat to the public, was detained. "By his actions, he endangered the life and health of others. The offender turned out to be Nurlan Isayev, a resident of Taraz. By court decision, he was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. The car was placed in a special parking lot," police said.
Police warn that recreational areas are not a place for dangerous entertainment. Any actions that threaten the life and health of people will be strictly suppressed, and the perpetrators will be held accountable before the law.
