The Minister of Education of Kazakhstan stated that removing a child from the family is a last resort. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the minister, removal of a child from the family is carried out only in cases where the child's life and health are in direct danger. This measure is taken to protect the rights of the child and is carried out in accordance with the law.
The head of the department noted that the number of cases of removing children from families is decreasing. In 2025, 523 such cases were registered, and in the first half of 2026, this figure decreased to 247.
The minister also emphasized the importance of family support programs. According to him, the state provides social assistance, psychological support, and training for parents to prevent the removal of children from families.
"Our main goal is to create conditions for raising a child in his or her own family. Only in the most difficult cases are we forced to resort to removing a child from the family," the minister said.
This statement was made in the context of public discussions on the protection of children's rights. Experts note that to prevent the removal of children from families, it is necessary to strengthen social support measures for families.
