In Kazakhstan, the queue for kindergartens has been reduced by almost 7 times thanks to voucher financing. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The voucher financing system allowed the distribution of state orders for preschool education in a competitive environment. As a result, the number of children on the waiting list has significantly decreased.
This change gives parents more freedom in choosing a kindergarten and stimulates the development of private kindergartens. The state order is now provided not for a place, but according to the parents' choice.
According to experts, voucher financing contributes to improving the quality of education, as kindergartens are forced to create better conditions to attract parents.
