From August 16, 2026, the toll on the Big Almaty Ring Road (BAKAD) has increased. The Ministry of Transport changed tariffs, but also introduced a 50% discount for prepayment or post-payment within seven working days. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

For passenger cars, the tariff increased from 0.07 to 0.14 MCI — 605.5 tenge per trip lasting up to one hour. For other categories, the following tariffs are set:

  • 01Passenger cars: 0.14 MCI (605.5 tenge) — up to 1 hour
  • 02Other categories: the tariff depends on the vehicle category and time spent on the toll section, but not on distance traveled.

For vehicles registered in settlements of Talgar, Karasai, and Ili districts of Almaty region, monthly and annual subscriptions are preserved. For cars, a monthly subscription costs 2,162.5 tenge, an annual one — 21,625 tenge. For other categories, the cost ranges from 2,595 to 10,812.5 tenge per month and from 25,950 to 108,125 tenge per year depending on vehicle type.

The new system allows drivers to pay half the set tariff if they:

  • 02Or pay within seven working days

From the eighth day, the debt must be paid in full, without a discount.

Individuals can pay for travel via Kaspi Bank, Halyk Bank, and Bank CenterCredit apps, as well as through the BAKAD portal using a bank card or other available methods. Additional information can be obtained via the 2277 contact center.
