AB Restaurants, which manages the restaurant chain of the same name, has disclosed the amount of remuneration for its director for 2025. According to a statement on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), 8.53 million tenge were allocated for these purposes. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The company clarified that the amount includes not only the manager's salary but also other payments provided for by internal documents. It also includes taxes, social contributions, and other mandatory payments.

Notably, the company's director is its co-owner, Askar Baitasov. Interestingly, in the company's corporate communications for previous years, information about the amount of remuneration for the head was not disclosed. Nevertheless, the work cannot be called super-profitable – we are talking about payments averaging 708.3 thousand tenge per month.

AB Restaurants is owned by Kazakh entrepreneur Askar Baitasov and his sister, Dina Baitasova. The holding manages more than 50 restaurants across the country. In 2024, the company earned a profit of 914 million tenge.

In the ranking of the richest Kazakhs, Baitasov ranks 68th with assets of $112 million. He also owns ABR Tech, which develops the abr+ application. In early 2025, the businessman sold a 5% stake in abr+ to RBK Bank.

Last autumn, AB Restaurants entered the debt market for the first time, placing two-year bonds on KASE for 2 billion tenge with a yield to maturity of 21.75% per annum.

Earlier, the company also reported plans to bring the Auyl restaurant project to the US market.
