A Soyuz-2.1a rocket carrying the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft was successfully launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On board are Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina, as well as NASA astronaut Anil Menon. The new crew will spend 261 days in orbit.
The Russian program includes 38 scientific experiments and two spacewalks.
