The Friendship of Peoples festival was held in Baikonur. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Traditionally, the festival began with the March of Friendship. During the festive procession, twenty-one teams dressed in costumes of various nationalities marched solemnly across the central square.
Konstantin Busygin, head of the Baikonur administration, emphasized the significance of the festival: "For the ninth consecutive year, we have gathered on this square to show each other and ourselves how rich our common human history is. Today I see that Mexico, India, and Japan are participating for the first time. This is truly a joyful and interesting event for us. I would like to thank the organizers who have given all of us, especially the younger generation, the opportunity to learn more deeply about the history and culture of these peoples."
Participants joined hands to form the "Circle of Friendship," symbolizing unity, mutual understanding, and good-neighborly relations among the peoples of the world.
