At the BaiQymyz-2026 festival in Astana, over 60 kumis producers from various regions of Kazakhstan will present their products. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The festival will also feature representatives from the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation (Yakutia). Visitors will be able to taste different varieties of the national drink and learn about its preparation process.
The main event of the festival will be an international kumis competition, where the best producers will compete for the title of the best. Additionally, guests can enjoy culinary shows, master classes on preparing national dishes, a "Best Kazy" competition, and competitions in kokpar, baige, audaryspak, kyz kuu, traditional archery, as well as games such as "Koi Kotery", "Zhilyk Syndyry", horseback quidditch, and other national games.
Over the two days, famous artists and creative groups will perform on the main stage. Tickets are required to attend the festival. Visitors can purchase tickets valid for one day or for both days of the festival. Pensioners and children under 16 can attend the event for free.
The BaiQymyz-2026 international gastronomic festival, which promotes national traditions, culture, and Kazakh national dishes, will be held at the Kazanat Hippodrome on July 11-12.
