At the BaiQymyz-2026 festival in Astana, 56 tons of kumiss were distributed free of charge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The festival was attended by over 200,000 people. In addition to kumiss, the event featured national dishes and performances. Special containers were prepared for distributing kumiss. The festival aims to promote the traditional Kazakh drink and boost tourism. According to organizers, such a festival is held annually.
