The Agency for Protection and Development of Competition discussed the current situation in the fuel and lubricants market. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Agency Chairman Marat Omarov instructed regional departments to strengthen monitoring of prices of oil suppliers, wholesale sellers of petroleum products, as well as automobile filling stations and gas filling stations.

"If signs of violation of competition legislation are detected, the departments are instructed to take appropriate antimonopoly measures," the agency reported.

Additionally, the agency developed an action plan to prevent violations of competition legislation.
