Two citizens of Kazakhstan — Akzhan Bokhanova and Zhuldyz Bokhanova — died in the city of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan confirmed this information. The ministry expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased.

"The Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Dubai is providing the families with the necessary consular and legal assistance. In particular, specialists are helping with paperwork and interacting with the competent authorities of the UAE to clarify the circumstances of the incident," the press service of the MFA told Kursiv.

Local authorities are establishing the causes and circumstances of the death of the Kazakh women. In the interests of the investigation, details of the incident are not yet disclosed.

The ministry also added that the Kazakh MFA maintains contact with the families of the deceased and provides them with the necessary assistance within its competence.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that as a result of a fire in a building under construction in the Russian city of Omsk, two men died, one of whom turned out to be a citizen of Kazakhstan.
