A delegation from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) arrived in Almaty for an inspection visit to assess the progress of preparations for the 10th Winter Asian Games, to be held in 2029. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The delegation included OCA leaders and specialists responsible for sports, media, information technology, and development programs. During the visit, a working meeting was held on Almaty's readiness for the Asian Games, followed by a tour of the city's main sports facilities and hotel infrastructure.
OCA representatives visited Halyk Arena, Almaty Arena, the Medeu high-mountain sports complex, the Shymbulak mountain resort, the Sunkar international ski jumping complex, the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace, and several hotels planned to accommodate participants and officials.
The inspection visit was another stage in Almaty's preparations for hosting the 10th Winter Asian Games in 2029.
