A representative of Kazakhstan's national team, Yassmina Toksanbayeva, became champion of the 20th Summer Asian Games held in Aichi–Nagoya (Japan). This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Kazakhstani athlete finished first in the women's marathon race walking event, recording a time of 3 hours 22 minutes 20 seconds. Yassmina confidently covered the course and reached the finish line almost four minutes ahead of her closest rival.

The 21-year-old Yassmina Toksanbayeva had previously shown strong results at the continental level. In 2025, she became a bronze medalist at the Asian Championships in the 20-kilometer race walk, and in 2026 she won a silver medal at the Asian Championships held in Japan.
This victory became the ninth gold medal for Kazakhstan's team at the Asian Games in Aichi–Nagoya. Earlier in athletics, Kristina Morozova won a silver medal in race walking.
