Although the Asian Games have not yet been officially opened, the group-stage basketball competitions have already begun. All teams that have advanced to the playoffs are now determined.
Kazakhstan's national team is returning home. The Kazakh basketball players faced China, the Philippines and Bahrain in Group C.
They lost to China 61:99, fell to the Philippines 78:109, and in the decisive match were beaten by Bahrain (78:101).
Thus, Kazakhstan's national team lost all three games and failed to reach the playoffs.
It is worth noting that the official opening ceremony of the Asian Games will be held on September 19 at the "Nagoya City Mizuho Park Athletic" stadium in the city of Nagoya. The competitions are being organized in parallel in Aichi Prefecture.
