Chairman of the Ak Zhol party Azat Peruashev announced his decision to leave the post of head of the political organization. He made the announcement on June 13 at the party congress. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The politician explained his decision by the need to renew leadership and prevent monopoly within the party system.

"We are already in the flow of events changing today's reality. But monopoly can hinder this. And the best cure against monopoly is periodic rotation of leadership. Therefore, in order not to close in on myself and not to restrain possible new ideas and impulses, I decided to resign as chairman of the party," Peruashev said.

According to him, regular rotation of leaders helps generate new ideas and creates conditions for further development of the party.

After announcing his departure, Peruashev proposed that congress delegates consider the candidacy of Mazhilis deputy Daniya Yespayeva for the post of new party chairman.

The politician highly praised her contribution to the development of the party and the modern political system of Kazakhstan.

"Daniya-khanym is a pioneer, a trailblazer of new trends and traditions of Kazakhstan in modern politics and economy. I have no doubt that her talents, intellect, ability to find the right solution, courage to move forward and not be afraid to be the first to do what was considered impossible before will bring a new zest, new positive changes to our party," Peruashev said.

Earlier, he also noted Yespayeva's role as one of the initiators of new approaches in the political and economic life of the country.

Peruashev also publicly admitted that he was wrong to call Kazakhstan "Shtrafstan." This happened after President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev directly criticized deputies using this word.

On June 12, delegates of the AMANAT congress supported joining the Adilet party.
