A man in Astana has been arrested for 20 days after he became angry at a bus driver who missed his stop. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Police received a report that a passenger on a city bus caused a disturbance and broke the glass separating the driver's cabin from the passenger compartment. An investigation identified the offender as a 44-year-old man.

"It turned out that the conflict was caused by the bus not stopping at the bus stop and passing by. As a result, the passenger argued with the driver, then, losing his temper, punched and broke the glass separating the driver's cabin from the passenger compartment," police said.

The man was held administratively liable for petty hooliganism. By court order, he was arrested for 20 days. He is also required to compensate for the material damage caused, police added.

Police warn that aggressive actions, damage to property, and violation of public order entail liability under the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
