Kazakhstan has tightened control over heavy trucks. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the new rules, requirements for the weight and dimensions of heavy trucks have been tightened. Now vehicles must pass through special checkpoints. These measures are aimed at reducing road damage and improving safety.

Additionally, truck drivers are required to provide additional documents. Fines are imposed for violations. Despite the tightened control, some drivers express dissatisfaction with the new requirements.

Experts believe that these measures will help preserve road infrastructure in the long term. The new rules came into effect in July 2026.
