ASTANA, August 4 – Sputnik. Starting January 1, the procedure for granting and withdrawing agricultural land will be transferred to electronic format, the government announced. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On the digital land map, farmers will be able to see vacant plots and lands being prepared for redistribution in real time and submit applications online.
"The new mechanism will eliminate the participation of land commissions and ensure transparency in the distribution of land plots. It will also minimize the influence of the human factor and reduce corruption risks," the statement said.
In addition, the system will allow monitoring the processing times of applications at each stage.
To date, 13.5 million hectares of agricultural land have been returned to state ownership, with the majority redistributed.
