Audi has introduced the new generation A6 allroad quattro wagon. Built on the A6 Avant platform, the new model features increased ground clearance, air suspension, and all-wheel drive. For the first time, the model is also available as a plug-in hybrid. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The premiere came just days after the launch of the new Audi A6 sedan in Kazakhstan.

While most manufacturers focus on SUVs, Audi continues to develop the allroad line. The new generation combines the practicality of a wagon with off-road capabilities.

Compared to the standard A6 Avant, the new model features protective body cladding, widened wheel arches, and a 34 mm increase in ground clearance. Standard equipment includes adaptive air suspension with a 55 mm adjustment range and quattro all-wheel drive. The wagon also gets rear-wheel steering.

Hybrid debuts

At launch, the Audi A6 allroad will be offered with two powertrains. The first is a new plug-in hybrid producing 367 hp and 500 Nm of torque. With a 25.9 kWh battery, the crossover-wagon can travel up to 95 km on electric power (WLTP cycle).

The second option is a 3.0-liter diesel V6 with 299 hp and 580 Nm, complemented by an MHEV plus system.

Last week, Audi officially unveiled the new generation A6 sedan in Almaty. Company representatives stated that the sedan has become more technologically advanced, more comfortable, and features an updated design. The model's price on the Kazakh market starts from 44 million tenge.

Audi has not yet announced plans to bring the new A6 allroad to Kazakhstan. However, following the recent sedan debut, interest in the off-road wagon is likely to arise among local brand enthusiasts.

Earlier, Kursiv Avto reported that Audi introduced the 1001-hp Nuvolari supercar to replace the legendary R8.
