A passenger died on an Aeroflot plane that made an emergency landing in Atyrau. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The plane was flying from Antalya to Yekaterinburg. The condition of a man on board deteriorated sharply. In this regard, the crew decided to make an emergency landing at Atyrau airport.
The plane was met by an ambulance crew. Doctors boarded, but the man died without regaining consciousness.
The transport police registered the death on August 25 and launched an investigation to establish all circumstances of the incident. "The preliminary cause of death is acute heart failure," police reported.
The body of the deceased was removed from the plane. The woman who was with him also stayed in Atyrau. The remaining passengers flew to Yekaterinburg.
Bolat Kaliyev, head of the medical service at Atyrau airport, told the details. According to him, on August 25 at 22:50, the central dispatch service received a message that a plane flying from Antalya to Yekaterinburg would make an emergency landing at Atyrau airport. The reason was the sharp deterioration in the health of a 41-year-old passenger.
"As soon as the message about the incident was received, a resuscitation team was called. After the plane landed, medics began providing medical assistance to the passenger who was in a state of clinical death. Doctors carried out all necessary resuscitation measures in full, including the use of a defibrillator and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. However, despite the measures taken, the ambulance crew recorded the death of the passenger," Kaliyev said.
