A criminal case has been opened into the death of Bauyrzhan Asainov, head of the Department of the Social Protection Committee for Atyrau Region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The official's death was confirmed by his colleagues, who published a condolence message on the agency's official page.
According to the Ak Zhaiyq publication, the body was found on October 18. According to the publication's sources, the official's body was found in the apartment where he lived.
Bauyrzhan Asainov's body had been in the apartment for about two weeks. During this period, heating was turned on in the house, which complicated the determination of the cause of death.
The regional police reported that a criminal case has been opened and comprehensive investigative measures are underway. However, they did not disclose the circumstances of the case.
It should be noted that Bauyrzhan Asainov had headed the Atyrau Regional Social Protection Department since January 4, 2023.
Previously, he worked in the prosecutor's office, the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, and also headed the Internal Security Department of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Control Committee of the Ministry of Health.
