An extremist group that planned to violently change the constitutional order has been detained in Atyrau. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the National Security Committee, the detainees did not resist law enforcement officers. Investigative measures are currently underway.
As previously reported, the group's actions could have posed a threat to the constitutional order of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Law enforcement agencies took measures to identify and detain all members of the group.
