Police in Atyrau are searching for a man who harassed a 12-year-old schoolgirl. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The girl's parents told KTK that the stranger behaved aggressively, demanded that she buy him alcohol, and even tried to force the child to kiss him on the lips.
According to the mother, the man intimidated her daughter and shouted at her. The girl agreed to go to the store, hoping to ask for help there. However, on the way, he began to pull her towards him. The schoolgirl managed to break free by grabbing his hair and ran away.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. when the girl was returning home from the playground. Relatives are sure that if she had not managed to escape, it could have ended in sexual violence. After what happened, she is afraid to leave the house.
The parents contacted the police and handed over surveillance camera recordings.
"A criminal case has been opened into the incident. Currently, operational search measures are being carried out to identify and detain the suspect," the police department of Atyrau region reported.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that in the North Kazakhstan region, a man is suspected of raping a 13-year-old girl. According to the investigation, a villager offered his victim a motorcycle ride, then took her outside the village and abused her.
