A pothole on a highway in the Atyrau region nearly ruined the trip of two Italian tourists. Police officers helped them continue their journey. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Polisia.kz.
On the evening of July 28, police officers Meiirbek Mazhenov and Kumar Eskendiruly were on duty at the 103rd kilometer of the Dossor – Kulsary – Beyneu republican highway. During patrol, they noticed a SUV with foreign license plates on the roadside.
It turned out that the car had hit a pothole, and the tourists could no longer continue on their own. The patrol officers did not limit themselves to advice or calling a tow truck. They themselves took the damaged wheel to a tire repair shop in Kulsary, waited for the repair to finish, and then helped install it back on the car. Thanks to this, the tourists were able to safely continue their journey through Kazakhstan.
The guests from Italy thanked the police for their responsiveness and professionalism, noting that such support far from home is especially valuable. Earlier, Kursiv Avto reported how a police officer in Kyzylorda helped a tourist from Malaysia who was traveling through Kazakhstan in a rare Volkswagen T1.
