Olzhas Bektenov emphasized the need to qualitatively fulfill the President's instructions on improving the environmental situation, modernizing engineering and social infrastructure, and developing the urban environment. Diversifying the region's economy through the development of manufacturing, tourism, IT, and creative industries is among the key priorities.

The regional leadership has been tasked with stimulating competition, attracting investment, and increasing labor productivity. It is also necessary to fully utilize the potential of the special economic zone and the innovation technology park.

In accordance with the new master plan of the region, effective measures must be taken to prevent unjustified and illegal construction, with attention to landscaping, greening, and increasing public spaces. The development of the road transport system of Atyrau region has also been set as a task. Special attention should be paid to converting the thermal power plant to gas, monitoring the level of harmful emissions from enterprises and vehicles, and timely renewal of worn-out engineering networks.
