Search operations for a 13-year-old teenager who drowned in the Ural River in the Inder district of the Atyrau region have been ongoing for the second day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The teenager went swimming with his older brother and drowned. The incident occurred on July 5 in the village of Yesbol.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of the Atyrau region, 13 personnel, 3 units of equipment, and 3 swimming facilities are involved in the search. The teenager was swimming in a prohibited area at 15:30.
Rescuers used the mobile search complex "Nautilus-50" to examine the bottom of the water area covering approximately 1,200 square meters. Additionally, 15 diving operations were conducted, and an area of about 1,700 square meters was surveyed using the trawling method.
