In Makat district of Atyrau region, an educational event titled "100 grandmothers – 100 lullabies" was organized at the district's central stadium to mark Family Day. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The event was reported by the Atyrau regional communications service. At the special gathering, deputy akim of the district Assel Karzhauova congratulated residents on Family Day and noted that preserving national upbringing and traditions is a common duty for everyone.
"The main goal of today's event is to promote the educational value of the lullaby and to pass on our national values to the younger generation. The simultaneous performance of the lullaby by one hundred grandmothers is a vivid manifestation of the continuity of generations. Through such educational events, we aim to increase the role of grandmother's upbringing in the family and to popularize our traditions," said Assel Karzhauova.
At the gathering, a scene was presented that popularizes the traditions and upbringing formed by our people over centuries. Also, grandmothers in white headscarves swaddled their grandchildren in cradles and simultaneously performed the lullaby.
The grandmothers who participated in the event said that this promotes national values and demonstrates the importance of family unity and grandmother's upbringing in the lives of the younger generation.
