Harmful emissions from the Atyrau Oil Refinery have decreased by 22%. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Ecology, a number of measures were taken at the plant to reduce its harmful impact on the environment. As a result, emissions decreased by 22 percent.
Ministry officials noted that this indicator is due to stricter environmental requirements and modernization of the plant. The Atyrau Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refining enterprises in the country.
