The press service of the Atyrau Oil Refinery (ANPZ) has announced that residents of houses located within the boundaries of the sanitary protection zone will be relocated. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The akimat of Atyrau city has established an interdepartmental working commission on relocation issues. It includes representatives of local executive bodies, ANPZ representatives, and residents of houses near the plant.

"The akimat of Atyrau city, together with the State Corporation 'Government for Citizens' JSC, is working to clarify the list of owners and land users of land plots located within the boundaries of the sanitary protection zone. This is necessary for the subsequent resolution of issues related to the acquisition of real estate objects. The interdepartmental working commission reviews residents' appeals, holds individual consultations, explains the procedure for relocation and compensation payments, and also familiarizes owners with the results of housing assessments," the statement said.

In mid-November, meetings are planned with residents of areas adjacent to the ANPZ. During the meetings, representatives of the working commission will explain the results of the work done and answer residents' questions.

According to ANPZ, the final list of land plots and residential buildings, information on their legal status and rights holders will be clarified as the relevant work is completed.
