In Atbasar, a cafe employee was taken to hospital after falling into an open cellar. According to the Nayza_kokshe public page, the woman worked as a cook. The labor inspectorate of the Akmola region is investigating what happened. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
It is reported that the woman slipped and fell into a cellar about five meters deep. This happened in the first half of the day on October 24. She received a serious head injury with bleeding and other injuries. She is currently receiving treatment at the Atbasar district hospital.
The regional labor inspectorate said that the employer did not report the incident.
«In this case, the Department of State Labor Inspection for the Akmola region has not received a report of an accident from the employer. Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being clarified,» the agency said.
The inspectorate explained that the employer faces administrative liability for failing to report an accident. They will also be required to submit a report on what happened.
Earlier in Pavlodar, rescuers freed a cook's hand that was stuck in a dough mixer. The equipment had to be partially disassembled, after which the girl was handed over to medics.
