In the city of Atbasar, Akmola region, a woman with serious injuries was found unconscious in an apartment. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Information about the incident spread on social media. A 58-year-old woman with knife wounds was found in the apartment. The suspect is a neighbor. To enter the apartment, police had to break down the door.
The woman died in the hospital from her severe injuries. "A criminal case has been opened on the fact of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in death. The suspect has been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility," said the police department of Akmola region.
An investigation is underway.
