Agricultural producers purchasing purebred livestock will be given preferential loans. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Ministry of Agriculture announced the new program. Kazakhstan has introduced a new program called 'BEREKE' for preferential financing of livestock farming. According to the ministry, the program aims to support agricultural producers by providing loans for the purchase of high-yield purebred livestock.
'The program is aimed at supporting agricultural producers by financing the purchase of high-yield purebred livestock,' the ministry reported.
Terms of the 'Bereke' program: - purchase of imported cattle – from 500 head; - purchase of small livestock – from 1,000 head; - loan interest rate – no more than 6% per annum; - loan term – up to 7 years.
Depending on the direction of financing and the type of livestock purchased, a grace period for repayment of principal and interest from 12 to 30 months is provided.
