In Akmola region, two people died and seven were injured in a road accident. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On August 10, a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and a GAZ-53 collided on the Astana–Petropavl highway. According to the regional police department, two passengers of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter died from their injuries.
Six other passengers of this vehicle and one passenger of the GAZ-53 were taken to a medical facility with various injuries. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
The police department urged drivers to strictly follow traffic rules and speed limits, and to be extremely careful on the road.
