Residents of a new residential area on the right bank of Astana have complained that instead of a promised park, construction of multi-story buildings continues on the territory. According to them, the green zone was promised when they bought apartments, but for more than five years the site has been gradually built up. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to residents, the density of construction has become so high that the windows of neighboring houses are located almost opposite each other.
"House on house! We look out the windows and see who is undressing! Where is this going?" the residents indignantly say.
Astana resident Sagira Amirbekova said that when buying a home, the developer promised to create a park that was supposed to be a recreation area for the district's residents.
"When we bought apartments here, we were told that there would be a park. We, pensioners, were very pleased that we could walk instead of sitting in apartments. And now it turns out that construction is constantly going on in this Kosoy Park area," she said.
In addition to the lack of a green zone, residents complain about broken roads and dirt caused by constant construction work. According to them, in rainy weather it becomes almost impossible to drive up to the houses or walk.
Another resident of the district, Bauyrzhan Uteulin, said that people fear the appearance of new residential complexes where they expected to see a park.
"When the prosecutor's office and the district akimat came, they told us: 'We will check everything, whether it is legal.' But we are worried that in the end everything will be recognized as legal," he noted.
According to KTK, another wave of discontent began after the installation of new construction fences. Residents fear that another high-rise building will be erected on the vacant territory.
Sensata Group stated that the construction is being carried out legally. According to the developer, the facility on Zhumeken Nazhimedenov Street is being built with all necessary permits, including a permit for the start of construction and installation works.
"As for the plot at address: Saraishyk district, Akhmet Baitursynuly Street, plot No. 14B, no construction and installation works were carried out on this plot. The company has permits for design and survey work, which were carried out in accordance with current legislation," Sensata Group said.
Despite this, residents of the district doubt that the promised park will ever appear. According to them, instead of large-scale landscaping, they continue to see the construction of new residential buildings.
