A passenger on a flight from Shymkent to Astana had 7.6 million tenge stolen. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during an operational search, police identified the suspects and returned the money to its owner. The detainees confessed their guilt and have been taken into custody. Currently, an investigation is underway into this incident, the ministry said.
Two foreigners are suspected of stealing the money.
