Starting August 10, heavy trucks are banned from entering Astana. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This decision was made following a resolution by the city mayor. The resolution approves the scheme and procedure for the movement of transit motor vehicles through the territory of Astana. The resolution states: "Transit heavy trucks are prohibited from entering the city territory."
The document came into force on August 10.
