A new airport in Astana will be built with the participation of a Singapore company, the city akimat reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The akimat of Astana city, the Ministry of Transport and Changi Airports International (CAI) signed a framework agreement on cooperation aimed at developing a strategic partnership in the long-term development of the capital's airport infrastructure.
Following the signing of the framework agreement, an official agreement was reached in two main areas.
Construction of a new airport
The parties agreed on cooperation in implementing the project to build a new airport in Astana city.
Development of the existing airport
This item envisages the company's participation in airport management, operational activities (O&M) and its further development.
