A report has surfaced on social media about a young man with a knife who, according to eyewitnesses, walked around the Abu Dhabi Plaza mall in Astana and threatened boutique employees. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The author of the post said on Threads that shortly before the mall closed, the young man approached a kiosk selling e-cigarettes and demanded vape sticks. After being refused, according to the girl, he took out a knife, threatened the seller, grabbed a package, and ran away.

Later, as the author claims, the young man noticed her colleague taking out the trash and followed her. In one of the boutiques, he again demanded vape sticks and threatened with a knife.

"Give me a stick, or I'll kill you," the author quoted the young man as saying.

According to her, security was not called immediately. Eventually, mall staff called guards, who began chasing the young man.
