Electrical cables caught fire on the Tarlan Astana line on Syganak Street in Astana, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
"After LRT specialists de-energized the power line, emergency workers extinguished the fire using a Vario Carbon autonomous backpack fire extinguisher," the statement said.
It is noted that the new name of LRT has been officially changed to "Tarlan Astana".
